• Create awareness on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on AMR
  • Workplace commitment to AMR related change

To create awareness on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) on the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week #WAAW, we launched, in line with WHO’s messaging, Going Blue for #AMR, to demonstrate our commitment to spread awareness of #AntimicrobialResistance. A week-long campaign on antimicrobial resistance began on November 18. The whole team was excited about the campaign and executed them wonderfully, both digital and offline, reaching out to 700 HCPs. Our employees communicated the need to work together to push for necessary hospital policy and practice changes to contain AMR. Also, the team highlighted the need for the implementation of well-integrated infection prevention & control (IPC) and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) programs at the hospital level. In doing so, the team conducted a whopping 50 activities across India around the week.

The imperative is to emphasize the urgent need to tackle ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE (AMR) and how Essity can combine hands with organizations/institutions to deliver the change.

This week-long activity also included a photo campaign and quiz contest on AMR in line with our chosen objective. Treading with WHO’s preferred color, on the final day of the WAAW, our employees wore light Blue to mark our commitment towards Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
