Many forest industry processes are consuming large amounts of energy. A significant part of it ends up in what is called low-grade energy. This energy is today not used but instead released as lukewarm water (30-60 degrees Celsius).
The reason why it's not used is primarily a lack of technology and applications to efficiently and in large scale utilize it. There are however research and development efforts in some areas, e.g. heating of green houses and heating of water for fish or scrims farming.
We are searching for new ideas and concepts that will make it possible to utilize and benefit from the low-grade energy (primarily lukewarm water) produced in our processes.
We are open to different kinds of collaboration and solutions in different stages, but any solution must meet some key requirements:
