In 2019, Essity introduced new guidelines for employees in the US, Canada and countries in Latin America who interact with health care providers (HCPs).
Given the high degree of regulation in the healthcare and medical device industry, Essity believes it is important and necessary to provide sales and marketing personnel with detailed guidance on how to interact with representatives from the industry in a manner that is compliant with applicable laws.
To ensure the integrity of the relationship between Essity employees and healthcare and medical device representatives, these guidelines are based on industry codes as well as the legal, regulatory and professional requirements in the US, Canada and Latin America where we conduct business. The standards and requirements contained in the guidelines are also consistent with the Essity Code of Conduct and our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
