Procurement Manager (M/F)

About the Role

As Procurement Manager, you’ll be a key member of our Global Operational Procurement team. Working collaboratively in a matrix organization, you’ll develop subject matter expertise and drive system efficiency across Europe. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of procurement practices within our operating model.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the procurement administration operational processes as well as developing and implementing the strategy enabling the Team to reach the next elevated level . The teams are responsible for validating and distributing purchase requisitions, creating and following up on purchase orders, and processing supplier invoice resolution for assigned geographies and locations.  The role is also leading the Contract and Content team, who are accountable for updating the price lists for both direct materials as well as MRO related materials.

The position is in Lisbon, Portugal, and reporting to the Procurement Operations Director Europe based in Budapest, Hungary.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership

  • Coordinate and manage procurement administrator team leaders and provide insights to develop the administrators.

  • Coach the team and enhance functional capabilities.

  • Support performance and development plans.

  • Ensure service delivery according to set KPIs and SLAs.

Process improvement

  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, purchasing policy, and financial instructions.

  • Regularly evaluate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders performance.

  • Monitor Procurement Administration Reporting for insights and improvements.

  • Enhance internal processes for best practices and efficiency.

  • Seek for continuous improvements by identifying synergies across the sites and countries, by streamlining process and policies in line with local regulations.

  • Implement standard work and ensure non-value added activities are removed enabling the buying teams to focus on supplier value creation.

Collaboration and System Development

  • Collaborate closely within Procurement Operations to refine Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.

  • Work alongside Procurement Excellence to drive system development and process automation.

  • Close collaboration and consistent communication with site stakeholders and Accounts Payables teams.

Stakeholder management

  • Consult with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and manage expectations effectively to ensure excellent delivery of our services.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor degree, Master is an advantage with 8+ years of adequate professional experience, ideally in a multinational environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in resilient cross-functional leadership while driving multi-functional projects in an international environment.

  • Holistic view and strategic mindset, understanding the big picture and making decisions aligned with long-term goals.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage and efficiently influence internally and externally when setting directions and driving results.

  • Self-leadership and proactive approach to actively remove complexities while inspiring and encouraging the team peers.

  • Fluent in English (written and oral), any other language is a plus

  • Experienced user in MS Office, Ariba, SAP and Power BI combined with profound analytical skills.

  • Experience leading operational procurement teams in a Shared Service Center is advantageous.
