Following the 2017 acquisition of BSN medical, a leading medical solutions company, Essity has a strong position in the health arena with brands including Actimove, JOBST, Leukoplast and more.

Consumer Goods

Essity’s UK & ROI Consumer Goods business is made up of personal care and tissue products for use in the home, including leading household brands Bodyform, TENA, Velvet, Plenty and Cushelle.

Professional Hygiene

Essity’s B2B or ‘Professional Hygiene’ business provides Tork branded toilet tissue, paper hand towels, soaps, wipes and cloths to professional environments and work places in the commercial, manufacturing and industrial sectors across the UK, as well as a complete selection of napkin products for the hospitality markets.

Health & Medical Solutions (HMS)

Essity’s HMS business offers the global TENA brand to care homes, hospitals and other healthcare professionals.

Manufacturing in the UK

Our manufacturing operation, which produces the majority of our tissue products in the UK, comprises six manufacturing sites across the country:

  • Manchester
  • Oakenholt, Flintshire
  • Prudhoe, Northumberland
  • Skelmersdale, Lancashire
  • Tawd, Lancashire
  • Stubbins, Lancashire

We also have two distribution centres attached to two of our mill sites:

  • Manchester
  • Skelmersdale, Lancashire
