The Chilean competition authority has now announced that a fine will be imposed on the company’s operations in the country. As SCA announced in May 2015, the investigation pertains to violations that took place before SCA obtained control of the company through an acquisition in 2012. Essity has cooperated with the authority and has already recognized a provision corresponding to the expected final fine.
