About the Role
Reporting to the Project & Facilities Supervisor, the role is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, and utility services. The role ensures facilities are maintained to a safe, compliant, and presentable standard through minor building repairs, planned and reactive maintenance, landscaping, and upkeep of the utility’s equipment.
What You Will Do
• Perform minor building repairs: carpentry, doors, locks, windows, ceilings, fixtures, basic
painting, patching, tiling, and finishing.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues before failure.
• Support safety initiatives through risk assessments (RA), JSAs, and improvement
projects.
• Service and troubleshoot:
- Plumbing systems (leaks, taps, toilets, drains)
- Electrical fittings (lights, switches, sockets – non-licensed tasks)
- Air-conditioning and ventilation systems (filter cleaning, basic servicing)
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Trade/Technical Certificate in Plumbing, Electrical, Building Services, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years’ experience in facilities or maintenance roles.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical, and landscaping.
- A proactive team player with the ability to meet deadlines.
