MRO Clerk- 2nd Shift

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality, customer-focused MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) support to the plant floor. Responsibilities include managing parts inventory (receiving, issuing, cycle counting, organizing, and restocking), data entry, and supporting maintenance activities. The role also contributes to cost reduction efforts, BOM development, and maintenance kitting, while supporting multiple departments and business units at two MRO storeroom locations.

Schedule hours: 2:30PM to 11PM

What You Will Do

  • Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety

  •  Search, identify options, issue, receive, stock, deliver, cycle count & monitor min/max levels of requested items. 

  • Complete all SAP data transactions and supporting documentation in compliance with financial policy. 

  • Comply with EHS&S procedures for safe storage of flammables, hazardous materials, chemicals & hazardous waste and handles recycling activities associated with MRO items (batteries, aerosols, etc.). 

  • Work with Maintenance Planners to maintain accurate Bill Of Materials (BOM’s) within SAP, fill pick list requests & compile kits for scheduled Maintenance activities. 

  • Perform physical inventories to reconcile stock records, assess min/max levels and review inventory activity. Complete requirements associated with warranty and “returned item” 

  • Generate reports (usage, costing, etc.) as needed to evaluate stock usage and requirements 

  • Be personally responsible to complete all activities in a safe, efficient & customer friendly manner & notify management of all unsafe conditions. 

  • Identify opportunities to standardize parts, reduce inventory levels, improve quality or provide value added attributes to the stock room. Work with MRO Specialists as necessary to accomplish these objectives. 

  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition, apply 5S methods of control. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

Who You are

  • High School Diploma or Ged required.

  • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing stocking or inventory control experience preferred.  

  • Working knowledge in SAP.  

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills

  • Good mathematical skills.

  • Working knowledge of Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 

  • Excellent Organizational and Data Entry Skills

  • Ability to lift and frequently stand, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

  • Quick learner

  • Be able to work overtime, flexible hours, and weekends, as needed or required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay: $19.53 per hour + full benefits.
Compensation increases after successful completion of on-the-job training.
