About the Role

As Indirect Buyers Lead, you will guide and optimize procurement activities across indirect categories, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven purchasing processes. You will act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across functions such as Marketing, Sales, HR, and Communications, supporting business goals through strong supplier management and procurement excellence.
This role involves leading a team across Mexico and Central America, driving performance, improving processes, and strengthening procurement as a trusted advisor within the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Category Management: Oversee indirect procurement categories, ensuring timely execution of purchasing processes aligned with company policies and risk mitigation strategies
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to understand business needs, provide procurement guidance, and position procurement as a strategic enabler
  • Supplier Management: Coordinate supplier evaluations and follow up on performance, ensuring delivery quality and implementing improvement actions
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of indirect buyers, driving engagement, capability building, and performance against KPIs
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive automation, and enhance procurement systems and workflows
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and identify potential suppliers and best practices to strengthen category strategies
  • Reporting & Performance: Analyze procurement indicators, generate reports, and provide insights to improve decision-making and results

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in indirect procurement roles, with exposure to consumer goods environments and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of procurement tools such as SAP (purchasing module), Ariba, and Microsoft Office; strong understanding of procurement processes and category management
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and analytical thinking skills, with a results-oriented mindset and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Advanced English proficiency
