About the Role

Essity's Global Supply Chain/Manufacturing team in North America is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist. This position will be based in our manufacturing facility in Cherokee, AL.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering various human resources plans and procedures for all employees at the location, assists in recruiting, employee relations, labor relations, maintaining HRIS and files, and provides administrative support within Human Resources and to the location.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure contract compliance in work practice and pay procedures, remedy inconsistencies and develop procedures to eliminate/reduce occurrences;

  • Monitor and approve pay data input, provide feedback and guidance as needed;

  • Support contract development, communication, implementation, and transition process;

  • Assume a lead role in organization and execution of employee events;

  • Identify opportunities to promote employee participation in community events and opportunities to promote Essity within local communities;

  • Support and promote Wellness activates;

  • Facilitate effective employee communication efforts;

  • Assist employees with HR related questions and needs such as benefits, purchase programs, verification request and the like;

  • Identify opportunities to promote Essity as employer of choice;

  • Participate in College and local Career Fairs;

  • Participate in candidate selection and screening process and coordinate support activities;

  • Provide and track compliance for internal and mandated HR required training;

  • Execute monthly HR reports such as attendance, retention, turnover;

  • Generate and provide as needed various HR reports such as demographic, termination, new hire, compensation.

Who You Are

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or related business discipline required. Bachelor's degree preferred;

  • Two (2) plus years of human resources experience in a generalist role;

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred;

  • Experience with union labor relations preferred;

  • SHRM certification helpful;

  • Workday, UKG Dimensions, and/or ADP experience is preferred.
