Given that the majority of people do not find a cure for incontinence today and that especially older people due to impairments can be challenged in their daily continence care, Essity would like to advance the knowledge of daily toileting – and containment care. Essity is doing this by e.g. breaking taboos and showing the shared value of continence care as well as initiating studies in this area in collaboration with academic researcher and experts in this field, both for people living in residential care as well as in the community. The ambition with the studies is always to study how we can improve the daily continence care for different needs in different situations for people affected by incontinence.
