A great opportunity for a Maintenance Leader has become available at our Trafford Park Papermaking Mill. We are looking for a result-focused and target-driven individual with relevant experience in process manufacturing industries and good people management and coaching skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical operation results in the department, including maintenance cost and legal compliance on maintenance works. You will drive a “Run to standard” culture and oversee the teams to work to it, such as Safety, Quality, Centre Lines, Clean Inspect Lubricants, and SAP-PM/MM. You will contribute to defining the Maintenance Roadmap based on the Site Strategy and drive behaviour to go back to basic standard condition.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is a full time, Monday – Friday days based role.

What You Will Do

  • Support Safety Corporate programs and Site implementation.

  • Manage the Department to perform fully in compliance with deadlines for Key Performance Indicators.

  • Responsible for consequence management within the department.

  • Ownership of planned and unplanned maintenance processes.

  • Coach the Organization in all behaviours and tools in terms of Maintenance.

  • Facilitate the application of systems expert maintenance and contribute to the systems for team maintenance.

  • Ownership of the process of breakdown elimination and develop the strategy for breakdown elimination and cost reduction.

  • Own the quality standards for maintenance and their efficiency and own Maintenance KPIs.

  • Develop the 5-year plan on assets: maintenance investment, sustainability plan for the department

  • Support the Operation Leader to identify CAPEX needs to support midterm plans.

  • Support and facilitate loss elimination by using problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Graduate calibre or relevant recognised professional qualification in Engineering

  • IT Literate

  • Relevant experience in process manufacturing industries / blue-chip organisations

  • Competent using Microsoft Project as a planning tool

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to make decisions under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills
