Last month, Essity launched the campaign "Antimicrobial Stewardship in Wound Care" at the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) conference in Gothenburg. The EWMA conference offers high-level scientific presentations, networking activities and excellent opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences with international colleagues for our key customers. Over 3782 participants from 82 countries attended and Essity was proud both to have a booth and to host two symposia, attended by over 300 participants.

Almost 60 colleagues from 14 different countries were part of the Essity booth crew "We were very proud to present Essity at the EWMA conference for the very first time", says Theresa Schaepers who is the Essity project coordinator for EWMA 2019. "At the Essity booth, we outlined our unique therapeutic approach and how it helps prevent and manage infections, and also introduced them to our new campaign concept, #Wound_Warriors.” says Sihame Bahri, AWC Marketing Communication Manager.

Using social media posts, a photo mosaic was created – where hundreds of individual images were used to create a single image. Participants were encouraged to participate in this interactive experience while raising awareness for antimicrobial stewardship and supporting the #WoundWarriors campaign at the same time.
