Essity have decided to further digitalize our business interactions with our suppliers and have started using a solution called “Strategic Sourcing” which is provided by SAP Ariba. This solution will help us to handle the end-to-end process including Sourcing-, Supplier- and Contract Management in one solution.
All new supplier to Essity will complete a verification process that includes, for example, compliance to our Global Supplier Standards. For some supplier’s further qualification is required.
Participation in tenders (RFI and RFQ) as well as registration and qualification with Essity will be free of charge for all the suppliers.
Training Material:
RFI (Request for Information): Collection of information, not make a final decision. Used to shortlist the best options, equipped with more insight.
RFQ (Request for Quotation): Collection of quotes to shortlist suppliers and award business.
During next coming years Essity will implement the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing globally, which will enable us to collaborate with suppliers and handle all Sourcing-, Supplier- and Contract Management activities in one solution.
To become a supplier to Essity, the Supplier needs to complete the registration in Ariba. The supplier will receive a system generated invitation letter on behalf of Essity and will be requested to follow through the process steps below:
1. Receive Invitation
a. To start the registration process, use the registration link provided in the invitation email.
2. Login or create a new Ariba Network account
a. If you already have an account, click on "Log in",
b. If not, click on "Sign up" and complete the SAP Ariba Network Registration Form to create a new Ariba Network account.
3. Complete the Essity Registration Questionnaire
a. Fill out all the mandatory fields in the questionnaire and submit the Essity Registration Questionnaire.
4.Registration completed! Congratulations! You are now part of the SAP Ariba Network and able to receive RFI and RFP from Essity!
